Our MEA MOU Contract
was approved by the City Council Oct 10! Now in effect from July 1, 2006. The
contract includes a 4% COLA, 16 additional personal leave hours, increased wage
for giving training and more. COLA will be on your November 3rd paycheck.
The 4% COLA retroactive to
July 1, 2006, and the 2.5% PERS employee reimbursement for the 2.7% @ 55 PERS
Enhancement will both be implemented on the Nov 3, 2006 paycheck. Other economic
enhancements to the MOU (i.e.., shift differential) will be implemented once the
MOU has been finalized and signed by all parties.
Retirement
is something we all think about. How are we covered? Where does the money

By-Laws Committee
The purpose of the By-laws Committee is to update and revise the MEA By-laws to create a comprehensive, working document. After vetting by the MEA attorneys, proposed By-laws will be voted on by the membership and, when approved, will be used as a guideline for the actions of the Board of Directors.
